Digital Learning & Leading Journey Synthesis
The Goal of My Journey
I embarked on this journey to become a digital leader that could apply technology to enhance learning for me, educators, students and parents. But I also wanted to lead organizational change in different school districts and shape the future of digital learning. The DLL Program at Lamar University assisted me in accomplishing this goal with the assistance of their intelligent and motivational professors.

Identify and describe two existing courses in your school that you could redesign into online courses. Enter below using the space you need.

One of the courses that I could redesign into an online course could be technology.Technology trainings are usually done on campus only.Usually what happens is that the learners will go home and never practiced what they need to learn.Assignments on reinforcement activities can be designed so they can continue practicing or reteaching on their own.Tutoring sessions can be included in the cours

Another course could be Professional Development that could be an ongoing course throughout the school year.This will be an excellent course where the learners can continue learning about the strategies that they need to teach.Videos on how the strategies are being developed and implemented will be included.

These two courses can serve various purposes.Learners can add their own made videos displaying the implementation of the strategies in the classroom.We could give points toward incentives depending on how often they participate in the course with positive results.

17. What LMS or course building tool will you use to house your course?
I am using Schoology which I like very much. Since I am not a technology guru like many of my students in my course, coworkers or peers. It is self-guided and easy to follow on how to add assignments.
18. Will learners need training on how to use the course management tool?
My learners will need training on how to sign in for the first time and how to navigate the course design.
19. How will you provide that?
During the first face to face training, I will walk them through the sections that they need to locate the assignments. The learners can always ask for assistance on campus and or through campus email. If I notice that they are having trouble with last postings or incomplete assignments, I will arrange a conference for them to have a one-to-one
training.
20. How is your system managed/filtered for learners?
It will include a combination of eLearning, mobile learning and any other forms that I might find during the developing of the course. It will have easy sections to navigate. The course will only be open for them and not the
public.
21. Will learners be involved in individual or collaborative projects?
The learners will have both individual and collaborative projects to work with. They will work on their assignments online on their own but will continue the assignments with their peers on campus. For example, they will be assigned to develop lesson plans online and then they will compare the lesson plans with each other. While working on this collaborate projects, they will modify/adjust the lesson plans to be used by the grade level.
