About Me
Hello, my name is Guaalupe Mata-Claflin but you can just call me Lupita. I was born and raised in McAllen, Texas about 15 miles south from the Mexican border. I have been married to a wonderful man for 43 years who is a proud Veteran. We met during the Vietnam War while I was attending Texas Woman's University and he was in the Air Force stationed in Fort Worth. He served overseas during the last of year of the war....Praise the Lord that he returned. He is originally from New Orleans, LA. We have 3 sons and one daughter. All have their Masters Degree and participated in high school ROTC and sports----proud parents. I have a BS in Human Services and worked as a social worker for 15 years defending the rights of the elderly. Then, returned to school to receive my BA in Education and MS in Principalship. I also have a MS in Technology from Kingsville A&M. After 24 years in education, I retired as an Assistant Principal. I stayed home to care for my 4 grandchildren who are off to school except one that will graduate my free daycare next year. I am in the process of developing a book/binder which will include technology lesson plans. In the meantime, I am assisting educators and administrators, free of charge, in any endeavor they might encounter.
